This drawing is printed on an A2 (420mm x 594mm) paper size. It is of the cast and machined magnesium front hub/upright (Ralt drawing number M3-FS-0320-AB), designed by Ron Tauranac, for the Ralt RT34 Formula 3 car. Twenty Five Ralts were entered into the 1990 British Formula Three Championship, eleven of them being RT34s. Mika Häkkinen won the championship and Mika Salo came second driving Ralt RT34s. Amongst others Steve Robertson, Peter Kox, Christian Fittipaldi, Paul Stewart, Alain Menu and Gary Ayles raced Ralt cars in the 1990 British Formula Three Championship.
Ron Tauranac founded the Brabham racing team in 1962 with Jack Brabham. After selling Brabham, Tauranac founded Ralt in 1974. Ralt cars won many Formula Three Championships and also had success in Formula 2 and Formula 3000. In 1988 Tauranac sold the company to the March Group, since then he has remained involved with various aspects of motor sport.
